Light Up the Sky
Marathon may be famed for its breath-taking sunsets but, come the 4th of July, all focus is on the town’s fireworks display – one of the largest and longest in the Keys. The day-long beach party kicks off with a patriotic parade, making its way from Marathon High School and finishing at Sombrero Beach. The event also features lots of delicious local food, so come hungry!
Key Lime Festival
This isn’t strictly an Independence Day celebration, but this year’s Key Lime Festival will take place from July 4-7 in Key West, so it offers something different to do other than fireworks and beach parties. Enjoy a tasting tour, cocktail sipping, a gravity defying “pie drop”—and, of course, a Key lime pie eating contest.
Relax and Unwind
Feel worlds away on Independence Day and sink into serenity right here at Tranquility Bay.
