Lobster season is in full swing in late summer. Key West’s popular Lobsterfest takes place August 8th-11th with an open-air feast, traditional lobster boil, and even a concert. Visiting later? Key West also hosts Brewfest over Labor Day weekend; sample some of the 200 beers and ales at mouth-watering beer dinners and the oceanfront Signature Tasting Festival.
The Florida Keys Poker Paddle (September 6th-8th) in Islamorada will raise funds for service men and women, with a four-mile paddle race for kayaks and stand-up paddle boards.
